Double process of erieord

This will be typically used on the erieord file (located in users/data/curtze1).

VI is a program that you can use to edit files contents.

Here is an example situation for why you would rerun the ordtran

- You ran the program but selected the incorrect day.

- Now you must rerun the the ordtran but instead of selecting L for the last batch pulled in, you must select A for all orders of the day. Then we must remove all orders that we have already sent up to Curtze.

Here is how you can use Vi to remove a range of rows:

vi erieord (make sure you are in the correct directory)
type this exactly
1. :set number
2. adds the row number to each line in the file
find the row the invoice you are looking for is on by using the search command
1. search using / and then type the invoice number
once you know the row range you need to delete, enter this command exactly:
1. :0,(FINAL ROW #)d
2. do not enter the parathesis
now that the file has been trimmed, make sure you save the program before you leave vi.
1. :wq! or :wq will write/quit the file
